The Story of Marine House

Marine House has a long history at Portree harbour under the ownership of the Kemp family, originally Marine House was located at the end of the pier, where the oil tanks now stand. The current Marine House and adjoining house Craiglockhart were purchased in 1960 and 1964 respectively by the Kemp family and subsequently ran as a Guest House for many years by Donald and Charlotte Kemp. After they retired they split the two houses and their daughter took over the running of a smaller Marine House B&B until 2020 when Fiona semi-retired. Marine House then rebranded as a self catering short let holiday house.
